SOLARC Innovative Solarprodukte GmbH

The company SOLARC was founded in 1997 to develop photovoltaic-powered electrical products and systems in the low and medium power range. These are consumer products on the one hand, and industrial products in the form of concepts and custommade solutions for the self-contained power supply of off-mains products, on the other hand. SOLARC provides competence based on fundamental scientific expertise in the areas of photovoltaics, storage media and material research, and on years of experience in the electronics sector.

With top-quality products and a sensible price / performance ratio, SOLARC means to increase the acceptance of photovoltaic as a form of energy generation on the part of the consumer. These objectives are put into practice through:

  • The development of customised electronic circuits and innovative concepts for the combination of the individual components solar cell, energy storage, and energy management and voltage transformation.
  • Utilisation of state of the art components particularly in cooperation with research institutes such as the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and the Hahn-Meitner Institute in Germany.

Universal Charger Series “e.GO!”

e.GO! is a high quality solar power source for quickly and reliably charging mobile devices such as mobile phones, iPods, PDAs, digital cameras, camcorders, etc. It is especially designed for generating a stable power output independent of the actual light radiation and for a quick and safe charging of both internal batteries as well as externally connected devices. This is attained by means of a sophisticated microprocessor control unit inside the handy device and novel charging methods for all kinds of common battery systems (NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion, RAM). This makes e.GO! a real high-tech product with multifunctional features.

Osram Camping-LED

The camping lamp is comprised of a LED light, which is powered by a solar module. Four batteries (NiCd/NiMH) store energy while the sun is shining for later use. Through a sliding switch, two different intensities of light can be selected. Moreover, via a number of adapter wires, different portable devices, such as mobile phones, MP3 player, organizers, etc. can be connected to the Osram Camping-LED. Thus they can be recharged or be operated directly, no matter where you are.

The solar battery charger “scottyPro”

scottyPro, the pocket-sized solar energy station not only recharges your batteries with high-efficiency solar cells of the latest generation and newly developed charging electronics, it also guarantees an independent energy supply where the demand for mobility is paramount. 2 high-capacity batteries provide energy storage for the recharging of external batteries (e.g. cellular phones) or can be taken out and used as normal batteries.

Convertible solar bag

In cooperation with Artbag24, SOLARC has developed a new product on the solar energy market, a unique concept: the solar bag. A flexible solar module is integrated in the cover of the bag, making it multifunctional, progressive and hip! The integrated solar module makes it possible to recharge an accumulator or small electronics devices, such as PDAs, GPS, mobiles, MP3-Players…etc., by using a specific cable. You no longer depend on the power supplies and can travel freely.

All bags manufactured by Artbag24 have covers that can be removed and exchanged, allowing you to choose to the matching cover for every occasion.

Solar Rucksack

On warm summer days, the demand for fresh drinks rises. However, the possibility to be satisfied is limited. Currently cooling boxes just delay the heating up of your goods but do not cool them down. Electric-supplied cooling boxes lose efficiency as soon as they are disconnected from the power supply. This cooling rucksack is the result of a co-operation between CMC, Salewa and SOLARC. It combines the advantages of a cooling box with those of a rucksack. The power is supplied by a solar module, fixed on the back surface of the rucksack. What we are talking about is a rucksack, which cools down the goods as long as the sun is shining. That is to say, a perfect synergy: the more powerful the sun shines, the cooler the drinks will be!

Solar car charger “CarSolar”

The Solar car charger offsets the discharge of starter batteries in parked vehicles caused by continuously running electrical systems and the effects of temperature. The battery loses its charge and is permanently damaged.

To avoid unnecessary trouble and costs position the solar module behind the car’s windshield and connect it to the battery via the cigarette lighter in order to neutralize these capacity losses. The charge provided by solar energy is enough to compensate for the battery’s loss of power.

Solar radiation measuring device “MacSolar”

The measuring device MacSolar was developed for engineers, architects, installers and observers. The measured values of intensity of irradiation and temperature are used as a starting point for simulating the energy yield of photovoltaic modules. In order to achieve a high precision rating, the simulation is calculated regarding the type of installation and the quality of the modules. With its weather-resistant plastic case, MacSolar was developed for exterior use.
